Did you know that Pablo Picasso was born in Malaga?

Malaga is a city situated on the scenic coast of the Costa del Sol where Pablo Picasso was born on October 25, 1881.
The Museo Picasso Málaga museum itself was founded in October 2003 in tribute to this outstanding artist. Christine and Bernard Picasso, Picasso’s daughter-in-law and grandson, played a large role in creating the permanent collection of the museum. It was they who donated a significant part of the works that we can admire here today.

The collection includes over 230 works that were created in the years 1892-1972. All this, arranged in 11 rooms, allows you to observe how Picasso broke the old canons of art and gave his works completely new meanings. Of course, this applies not only to images. Pablo Picasso was a versatile artist and although he is mainly associated with painting, he also successfully realized himself in graphics, sculpture and ceramics.
